I started to hang around the West End Fire & Rescue Company, Shippensburg PA at the age of 8 years old. There was not an organized Junior program but I was taken under everyone's wing and did what our Junior Members do now. I became an offical member in 1972. I was one of the original bunkroom gang in the summer of 1976 when we built two walls in the corner of the engine room. I became a Life Member in November 1987.
